Embark on a scenic journey from Johannesburg or Pretoria to Bokkraal. Here’s how:

Take the N14: Begin your adventure by driving towards Krugersdorp on the N14.

Turn Right: At the intersection of Hendrik Potgieter and the N4 (Pinehaven Sasol), make a right turn towards Magaliesburg (R24).

Through Magaliesburg: Traverse through the charming town of Magaliesburg, and at the Spar store, turn left onto the R509.

Towards Derby and Koster: Keep on the R509, passing through Derby and then Koster.

Onto the R52: Stay left at Koster onto the R52, continuing towards Lichtenburg.

R53 Intersection: Travel past this intersection for 7.6km – you will see a large bunker silo on your right. Turn onto the gravel road here.

Travel for a further 32.6km avoiding the first Bokkraal Turnoff. At the second Bokkraal Turnoff turn right and proceed until you get to the large entrance gate.

From here follow the boards down to Red Cliff Lodge

Head to Bokkraal: After approximately 30 km, spot the turnoff for Bokkraal. Opt for the second turnoff – Bokkraal Loop, for a smoother journey.

Road Conditions: The road conditions are conducive for 4 x 4 enthusiasts, thus a high clearance vehicle or SUV is highly recommended. Low profile tires will take a beating.

Follow the Markers: Proceed until you find the gate marked “Bokkraal Waterfall Valley.” Enter and follow the Red Cliff signs, ensure you take the left turn towards Red Cliff Lodge

Final Stretch: At the fork, follow signs to Red Cliff Lodge and Bremer House. Take a sharp right, continuing on the dirt road.

Arrival: You’ve reached Afsaal Farm Bokkraal, the first property on your left. Pass through their gate, turn right, and the lodge awaits you!
